Jang Hyuk is best known for playing the lead characters in the movies Windstruck (2004) and Volcano High (2001) and the drama series The Slave Hunters (2009).
He made his acting debut with the drama series Zzang in 1998, but his fame did not rise until he starred in the movie Volcano High (2001).
The movie had allowed him to gain admiration and recognition from netizens.
His career as an actor reached its peak after he played a role in the movie Windstruck in 2004. It was considered one of the most popular Korean movies ever.
Then, in 2008, he ventured into Hollywood with the movie Dance of the Dragon.
Besides that, he also took some parts in the little screens with grant-winning performances such as Successful Story of a Bright Girl (2002) and The Slave Hunters (2009).
