Jang Hyuk

Jang Hyuk is best known for playing the lead characters in the movies Windstruck (2004) and Volcano High (2001) and the drama series The Slave Hunters (2009).

He made his acting debut with the drama series Zzang in 1998, but his fame did not rise until he starred in the movie Volcano High (2001).

The movie had allowed him to gain admiration and recognition from netizens.

His career as an actor reached its peak after he played a role in the movie Windstruck in 2004. It was considered one of the most popular Korean movies ever.

Then, in 2008, he ventured into Hollywood with the movie Dance of the Dragon.

Besides that, he also took some parts in the little screens with grant-winning performances such as Successful Story of a Bright Girl (2002) and The Slave Hunters (2009).

Jang Hyuk began dating his current wife, Kim Yeo Jin, who was also his pilates instructor in 2002. He joined her class because he really liked her.
He does not consider himself a star but instead a freelancer who might never land another acting job.
Jang Hyuk learned Jeet Kune Do for around ten years.
He, alongside his two fellow actors, Song Seung Heon and Han Jae Suk, was chided by netizens for avoiding military obligation in late 2004. However, he had apologized to general society and started his military duty on November 16, 2004, to November 15, 2006.
