Kihyun started his career in the entertainment industry as Starship Entertainment’s trainee. Then in December 2014, he took part in a survival reality show No Mercy.
This Scorpio man competed with 12 other trainees to earn a spot in a new group.
During the show, he also released two collaborative tracks titled Pillow and 0 (Young) with the other trainees. The songs became part of the No Mercy OST.
In the end, Kihyun managed to become one of the winners and joined Monsta X. With the group, he made his debut by releasing the EP Trespass. It got to number 5 on Gaon Album Chart.
Besides being part of Monsta X, Kihyun has also done several solo projects. He has taken part in many film soundtracks.
This K-pop idol released Attractive Woman for Orange Marmalade, One More Step for She Was Pretty, Again Spring for Welcome, and O.M.O.M for Replay. In particular, his soundtrack for Replay gained lots of praise.
