Kim Ah Joong

Kim Ah Joong made her first debut in the acting industry when she appeared in the drama Emperor of the Sea back in 2004.

One year later, in 2005, she gained popularity by acting in the movie When Romance Meets Destiny and drama Bizarre Bunch.

Ah Joong’s career breakthrough happened when she starred in 200 Pounds Beauty (2006) which gave her a lot of awards because of her role as an overweight girl in that movie, such as the 2007 Grand Bell Awards as the Best Actress.

She came back to acting after three years since then by starring in The Accidental Couple (2009), a romantic comedy-drama.

In 2010, Ah Joong acted in a science fiction movie, Amazing, and also a medical drama series, Sign, as a scientist.

Two years later, this Libra actress starred in My PS Partner (2012) alongside Ji Sung, which was followed by Steal My Heart (2013).

She then acted again in the drama Punch (2014), a legal drama that was aired on the SBS channel.

Later, Ah Joong made an appearance for Wanted (2016) and Live Up to Your Name (2017) with actor Kim Nam Gil.

Continuing her acting projects, she then made a comeback for the movie The Bad Guys: Reign of Chaos (2019) and a Disney+ drama, Grid (2022).
