Lee Yoo Mi started her career as an actress in 2009 with the romance family drama series Assorted Gems. After that, her work was limited to minor roles in a few movies and drama series.
In 2020, it was announced that she had signed an agreement with Varo Entertainment. With her new agency, she had a role in the drama series My Holo Love and 365: Repeat The Year.
A year later, she rose to prominence outside South Korea for her spectacular portrayal of a character in the hit drama series Squid Game.
