Song Yuqi first entered the K-pop industry when she auditioned for Cube Entertainment in Cube Star World Audition Beijing Station in 2015.
In that audition, she successfully impressed the judges and passed the audition by performing High Heels from CLC and Bubble from G.E.M.
Shortly, she became one of the trainees in Cube. During her days as a trainee, she once appeared in Rising Star Cosmetics advertising video.
She was announced as a member of (G)I-DLE on April 8, 2018. She finally made her first debut on May 2, 2018 by releasing their top hits, Latata, in their I Am mini-album.
This girl also has been venturing her wings into the TV shows, such as Chinese show Keep Running (2019), The Gashinas (2019), and Law of the Jungle in Myanmar (2019).
One year later in May, Yuqi wrote and composed song titled I’m the Trend which is presented to Neverland.
In September 2020, she finally trusted to be the main host of Learn Way, a program held by KakaoTV.
