He gained fame by sharing pranks, comedic sketches, and celebrity interviews content on his social media pages.

Career

Before Funny Marco earned widespread fame, he used to work as a bartender in Kansas City, with the specialty of making people laugh without really thinking of comedy as a way to make a living.

However, he wanted more success beyond being a bartender, so he planned to relocate to St. Louis, Missouri, United States.

Somehow, the plan got canceled as he met someone in Atlanta, Georgia, who suggested him to develop his comedy skills. Four years later, he eventually realized he could earn money from his comedy talent.

In 2018, he shared his first-ever comedy video, titled Kansas City first 48. From there, he started building a presence on various social media platforms, but especially YouTube and TikTok, by sharing prank and comedy sketches.

His fame rose even more as he launched Open Thoughts (2019), a podcast where he discussed hip-hop stars’ lyrics and antics in a lighthearted style.

Through his podcast show, he also interviewed various celebrities including G Herbo, DaBaby, Nicki Minaj, John Cena, and more, in a uniquely awkward and uncomfortable way of interviewing.
