Before entering the entertainment industry, Oh Na Ra joined the Seoul Performing Arts Company in 1996. The next year, she appeared in a musical play as a musical actress.

She once worked for the notable theater company named SiKi in Japan in 2001. However, she decided to return to Korea and participated in another musical play in 2004.

From there onward, she had been attempting to extend her field from musicals to drama series starting around 2008. Around that same year, she had her first role in the drama series My Sweet Seoul.

Other drama series she has successfully starred in include Queen of Ambition (2013), Feast of the Gods (2012), Miss Ajumma (2011), and Sky Castle (2019).

In 2012, she used her dancing skills by showing up in the movie Dancing Queen. Not only that, but she also appeared in other movies such as Apgujeong Report (2021) and Count (2020).
