Kep1er is a K-POP girl group formed through the Mnet survival show, Girls Planet 999. They are managed by WAKEONE Entertainment and Swing Entertainment.

This group consists of 9 members: Yujin, Chaehyun, Huening Bahiyyih, Dayeon, Yeongeun, Yeseo, Hikaru, Mashiro, and Xiaoting.

The group name, ‘Kep1er’, comes from ‘Kep’ and the number of 1. Kep means always catching their dreams, and 1 represents their desire to be number one in the K-pop industry.

Career

Initially, Kep1er is formed from the show called Girls Planet 999, which started airing on August 6, 2021.

Two months later, on October 22, 2021, the 9 final members were announced to be the new girl group.

Kep1er was announced to debut by releasing First Impact, Kep1er’s very first mini-album, on January 3, 2022.

On February 2022, it was announced that Kep1er was going to participate in the second season of Queendom. During Queendom’s finale on May, it was then revealed that they were going to have their first comeback.

Kep1er was announced to have go on their very first Japanese tour in May 2023.
