Jo Yu Ri started her career in the entertainment industry by participating in the survival show Idol School in 2017. Sadly, she was ousted in the tenth episode.

Despite her amazing performance, she was fifteenth in the final ranking. So, she failed to make a big appearance in the winning group, fromis_9.

Then, she was announced as a contestant on another survival show called Produce 48 in 2018. Around that time, she just signed up with Stone Music Entertainment.

This time, she won a spot in the winning group IZ*ONE as one of the main vocalists. Though, the group had to disband after completing a two and a half years contract.

After the group’s disbandment, she decided to pursue a career as a soloist. She released her first mini-album Glassy in 2021.

Besides that, she also expanded her career by debuting as an actress. She once starred in the movie Eyes On Me: The Movie (2020) and the drama series Mimicus (2022).
