DJ Soda

Hwang So Hee started her career as a Disk Jockey (DJ) in 2013. She picked DJ Soda as her stage name.

This South Korean likes the name because it’s quite unique and easy to remember. The word So in Korean means bull, and Soda is sort of a slang word for You Bull.

Becoming a DJ has always been part of her dream since her teenage years. She had a pretty rough childhood. She turned into Electronic Dance Music to escape from her hard reality.

The music became some sort of therapy, enabling her to face her problem. It motivated this Aries woman to become an excellent DJ so she can provide happiness for people facing hardship.

DJ Soda got her breakthrough in 2015 by touring with the Korea World DJ festival.

The DJ later joined Starship Entertainment’s sub label Highline Entertainment. In July 2018, she released a collaboration song Never Let You In with Walshy Fire.

The song brought her success in the Asia market, topping the chart in Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Malaysia.

So far on her career, the Korean DJ has won Korea Hallyu Awards for Indie Artist category in 2019.

DJ Soda is also pretty active on social media. She has a Youtube channel where she shared her new songs, city tours, her performance in music festivals, and many more.

On Instagram, she also shared snippets of her performance, mixing it with some silly contents.
