Being Accused of Harassing Employee by Bringing Shirtless Men inside a Shop
On September 2021, he posted a video on his YouTube channel that shows him being shirtless and then a Best Buy employee asked him to put on a shirt.
The encounter apparently upset him and it made him came up with a plan to come with a bunch of people to the shop without wearing any shirt.
He brought approximately two dozen of young men into the Best Buy the following day while he himself bringing a megaphone to do a rally and chant repeatedly “It’s simple; free the nipple.”
He then uploaded the footage to his YouTube channel along with background music, which makes it looks a campaign.
Furthermore, he explained that the managers of the said Best Buy knew about the prank in advance, but it’s not clear whether the workers were aware of the stunt.
Regardless, this caused him to receive backlashes from public.
Being Accused of Throwing Misogynistic Remarks Towards Pokimane
On January 2022, during a livestream, he reacted to Pokimane playing Valorant.
He began mocking her in different ways, including by playing a certain clip where she said the N-word, a scandal that she’s apologized for since.
He then went on encouraging his viewers to harass her, by going to her stream and comment “L + Ratio.”
As her stream was flooded with hate comments, she’s forced to end the session.
However, that doesn’t stop JiDion. He, along with his fans, continued harassing her and her fans by throwing racist accusation, sexual comments, and told them to kill themselves.
Pokimane responded in a now-deleter tweet, about how her Twitter account was drowned in a harassment wave made by his fan base. She privated her account for a while.
This caused a lot of streamers and casual audience to speak up in support of her and critisize the harassing behaviors. She posted a tweet shortly to thank them and condemn sexism.
The event resulted in JiDion being banned permanently from Twitch and removed from their partner program.
He responded to the consequence by posting a sarcastic and drunk apology.
