Linus Sebastian never intended to make a career on Youtube. He was working in a Canadian computes store called NCIX.
His boss then asked him to host demonstration videos on some of their products.
The first video Linus ever worked on is for a Sunbeam Tuniq Tower Heatsink. It was released in July 2007 on NCIX Tech Tips Youtube channel.
Because of low viewership, Linus was told to create another Youtube channel with lower production cost. This channel is known as Linus Tech Tips.
He started uploading videos on November 2008. Through the channel, the man from Canada shares technology tips. He also produces various product reviews and computer building guides.
After several year of working together, this Youtube star parted ways with NCIX.
He got the rights to the name Linus Tech Tips as well as the Youtube channel. He began to develop the channel as independent venture.
In 2013, he founded his own company called Linus Media Group (LMG) Linus himself acted as the CEO of the company.
LMG is said to be a full service production agency with experience in social media, web video, and influencer marketing.
With his new company, he continues to create informative videos, packaged in entertaining ways.
Some of his most popular videos are the ones involving building PCs. One of them is about building a PC using parts from online store Wish.
The other is showing Linus’ experience building a PC in China. Another popular video of his is about testing gaming PC from Walmart.
