Meek Mill is an American rapper and songwriter. He rose to prominence as soon as he released first studio album, Dreams & Nightmares (2012).

Career

Meek began pursuing his dream as a rapper by following his uncle, who was a DJ in Philadelphia. He also joined rap battles.

In 2008, he created a mixtape called Flamers 2: Hottest in tha City and it attracted Charlie Mack and T.I.. However, he was arrested and released months later.

After being released, he collaborated with DJ Drama and launched a mixtape named Flamers 3: The Wait Is Over in 2010. The next year, he signed with Maybach Music Group, owned by Rick Ross.

He then launched his first single titled Tupac Back and was followed by the second one named Ima Boss. Ima Boss was remixed by DJ Khaled and Lil Wayne.

The remix reached #51 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2012, Meek released his debut album called Dreams & Nightmares. The album ranked at number two on the US Billboard 200.

Mill went on creating albums that reached the Billboard chart. In 2014, he released Dreams Worth More Than Money and ranked on the Billboard 200 and Championships in 2018 that reached the top of the same chart.
