Ha Ji Won made her debut as an actress with the drama series New Generation Report: Adults Don’t Understand Us (1997) after unsuccessfully trying out for around 100 auditions.

It was then followed by three more drama series, such as Dragon’s Tears (1998), Dangerous Lullaby (1999), and School 2 (1999).

Her next outstanding drama series, which turned into a cultural phenomenon of some kind, was the very well-known South Korean fusion historical drama series Damo (2003).

Her performance in the series earned her three MBC Drama Awards that year. After that, she went on with her splendid appearances portraying various roles in striking movies.

Some of these movies include Sex Is Zero (2002), Phone (2002), Nightmare (2000), Ditto (2000), Love, So Divine (2004), 100 Days with Mr. Arrogant (2004), and many more.

One of the movies titled she starred in, Manhunt (2017), created a buzz in Hong Kong and China, making her popular both domestically and internationally.

Besides acting, she also took modeling jobs for some music videos, for example, Mother’s Diary (2005) by WAX, Oppa (2005) by WAX, and Flower (2005) by Lee Soo Young.
