Quotes

“When someone is bullying you, don’t let it get to you. I remember my friends in school, someone said something mean to them, and they really let it get to them. And it really affected them. But I would just say try to ignore it as much as possible and just be yourself.”

“I love going back and forth from drama to comedy. I love switching it around and showing people that I can do both.”

“I think that the main thing that you can learn from watching ‘The Spectacular Now’ is just learning about growing up and moving on.”

“I play guitar and sing when I’m not busy with school and acting.”

“It’s really important that people know about it and the issue in schools because it happens every day to people and it really hurts when people get bullied.”

“‘Last Man Standing’ is overall a lot of comedy. And I love doing that.”

“I would have to say that I have to concentrate more when I’m doing comedy. There are so many details that make up any character, but developing a character for a dramatic role seems to come more naturally.”

“My favourite place in the world is being on set. We come together and create something and everybody, in their own way, has a passion to tell the story and we all play a part in it.”

“We come together and create something and everybody, in their own way, has a passion to tell the story and we all play a part in it.”

“I’ve just been honestly so lucky with the people that I’ve worked with. The experiences I’ve had have been so good, so wholesome, and every project I’ve done I’ve been surrounded by really nice people who are also really passionate people.”

““Making music in general is a very vulnerable thing. I think it’s even sometimes more vulnerable than acting because it’s literally your own personal diary being put out into the world for people to listen to.”

“Acting is super fulfilling and works one part of my brain and music works another part — I love switching back and forth. But I’ve learned so much about myself in making music, and it’s also been another way to bond with my sister.”

“It is crazy to think about being nominated [for an Emmy], I just think about how hard it is to get work in the first place and I truly feel so lucky, because this job is so hard and unpredictable.”

” It feels really good for someone to put their trust in you, and that’s a rewarding experience alone […] But then getting the recognition feels really, really good.”

“That’s what’s so inspiring about your performance and getting to watch it in real-time, you are doing something fresh and different every take. It’s an amazing energy to be around. When you’re bringing new ideas, it inspires everyone to be looser and in the moment.”

“I’m constantly trying to do something different because I learn a lot about myself as an actor, but also about myself [as a person]. I think if you continue to do the same thing, you don’t have as much of an opportunity to learn.”

“The last director I worked with was like, “Is that hard? Are you exhausted?” And yes, it is exhausting, but when you’re immersing yourself in the story and role, at the end of a work day you feel really satisfied. Especially when you have that collective feeling on set where everyone is on the same page and working towards making something really special.”

“It’s one of the best feelings in the world when you’ve put hard work into it but also when everybody around you is putting in their effort too.”

“I’d never done a period movie before, which I’d always wanted to do, it’s true late 1400s but it’s still not a complete period because it’s modernised dialogue.”

Kaitlyn Dever has always been a talented performer ever since she was young. It is proven by a long list of acting resumes accumulated throughout the years of her career.
