Choi Seok Won, who is more known as Tan, is a South Korean singer and actor.

He gained popularity by debuting as a member of Ciipher in 2021, before expanding his career into acting and appearing in Korean drama series such as Ghost Doctor (2022) and Na Ra the Socialite Wannabe (2023).

Career

Already having a big dream as a K-Pop idol, Tan started his path by becoming a trainee for Starship Entertainment.

After some time being a trainee there, he later joined a survival show created by Starship Entertainment, NO.MERCY in 2014, which aired on Mnet.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t make it until the last episode. Tan got eliminated in the 10th episode and left the show.

Having a hard time continuing her trainee days, he later enlisted in military service. After he was released from military service, his excitement came back to debut as an idol.

Tan then pivoted her path by moving to another agency, Rain Entertainment, which is owned by the legendary Korean singer Rain.

In December 2020, he was finally announced as Ciipher member, which would debut in early 2021.

Finally, he made his debut as a K-Pop idol on March 15, 2021, by releasing the I Like You EP after spending 11 years of the training period.

One year later, Tan then was offered a role in tvN drama, Ghost Doctor (2022) alongside his boss, Rain.
