Before he became an actor under KeyEast entertainment, Yoon Jong Hoon attended Seoul Action School where he was not only trained to act but also to perform action techniques.

Then, following his graduation, he filled in as a stand-in in dramas like Empress Cheonchu (2009) and The Return of Iljimae (2009).

Besides acting on the screen, he also had a role in a theater performance titled Jeweled Bridge (2009).

His first breakthrough was when he starred in Return (2018) where he succeeded in bagging his first award.

Later in 2020, his second breakthrough came through his acting in The Penthouse: War in Life.
