Seo Ji Hoon started his career as an actor in 2016 when he played a minor role in the drama series Signal. Then, he was cast in the web-based drama series titled Matching! Boys Archery.
After his phenomenal debut, he was nominated at the KBS Drama Awards for his acting in the one-act drama special The Legendary Shuttle in 2016.
In 2017, he featured in the hit drama series School 2017 and the comedy series Prison Playbook. Both series had boosted his popularity on the scene.
The following year, he joined the cast of the fantasy drama series My First Love, where he played the younger version of one of the important characters.
It was not the only fantasy series he starred in during his career journey because a few months later, he was involved in another fantasy drama series Tale of Fairy.
In 2019, he had his first leading role in the one-act drama stage Crumbling Friendship. It was closely followed by another acting project for the drama series Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency.
