Lee Sang Woo started his acting debut in the previous 2005, by starring in a KBS’ short drama called Drama City.
After getting a role as a supporting character in First Wives’ Club (2007), he got a lot of attention. This character made him get an award as a New Star Award for SBS Drama Awards.
This legendary actor is well-known for his bravery to explore different types of characters, such as his appearance as a man who is struggling with sex addiction, infidelity, and schizophrenia in Searching for the Elephant (2009).
One year later, he starred in Life is a Beautiful, Korean drama that shows a story about a gay couple. Even though this drama is taboo and got a lot of controversies, this drama was successful.
He then continued his career by appearing in Believe in Love (2011) and Feast of Gods (2012). He also won an award as the Excellence Award, Actor for MBC Drama Awards.
His name continues to shine while he appears in Happy Home (2016), 20th Century Boy and Girl (2017), Touch Your Heart (2019), and Uncle (2021).
